Giveaway from A Great Impression: Welcome to the 122nd Metamorphosis Monday!

Happy Metamorphosis Monday! Today I'm sharing a lovely addition to my entry, as well as a delightful Giveaway from A Great Impression! A Great Impression creates beautiful and inspirational wall art for the home....and inspirational, it truly is!

Recently Mary, proprietor of A Great Impression, shared a special story about her daughter, Julie. This summer, Julie is going to Haiti for a mission trip. Mary wrote,

My Daughter, Julie is 16 and will be going on her first mission trip this summer to Haiti. We put our minds to work and came up with this idea to help her raise money for her trip. I am donating the supplies, and Julie is donating her time, to help raise money for her cause. Her goal is $1200.00 and will be giving weekly updates on Julie's blog to keep everyone posted about her progress.

Do you have a room in your home where you've been thinking about adding a bit of wall art that expresses your thoughts and dreams? This is a wonderful time to give it a try because Mary has an amazing sale going on and you'll be contributing to a wonderful cause, too.

Here's just a small sample of some of the art that is available for purchase at a 30% discount and for which all proceeds will go toward Julie's mission trip to Haiti.

This would be great in an entry:

    I love this for a child's room:

Mary sent some lovely wall art my way and I knew just the spot where I wanted it to go.

Come on in...welcome to my home!

Do you see where I placed mine?

    Come a little closer...

Isn't it perfect there, welcoming all who enter through my front door! I love it!

I think it's such a wonderful way to welcome friends and family to my home.

It was so easy to apply.

My vinyl wall art came with step-by-step directions explaining how to apply it to a wall. As I began peeling the wax paper away from the letters...

I found the best way was to pull it away from the bottom,

And then from the top, sort of alternating back and forth as I went along. If a letter started to lift, I just laid the paper back down, pressed firmly and then lifted the paper again. You don't want to rush this step...going slowly is the key. It worked like a champ!

Once you've removed the wax paper backing, you center the lettering where you want it on your wall and press down firmly. It's easy to center it because you can see through the paper on which the letters/art are attached. It stuck easily to the wall and didn't try to lift as I removed the backing. Again, the important thing is to go slowly and not rush the process. I couldn't really take pics and apply the decal at the same time, but the instruction sheet that comes with the art has lots of pictures detailing each step.

Here are a few more examples of some of the wonderful wall art that caught my eye at A Great Impression:

Isn't that what a party is all about? :)

PLEASE DO NOT type in all caps...it spreads the links waaaay out. Thanks! :-)
