Earlier in the spring, Cornelia had a ladies breakfast in her beautiful home in Switzerland.
It was near Easter and she created a gorgeous table setting for the event.
Cornelia said, "I had an Invitation this morning. I invited 5 ladies for breakfast and had a Royal Copenhagen, Musselmalet tablescape. "
"The Musselmalet is also known as Blue fluted. The china I used is mainly Blue Fluted, Half Lace. A few pieces are Blue Fluted, Full Lace and some are Blue Fluted, Plain."
What is it about blue and white china? It is always just so beautiful in any table setting.
The cutlery is silver by Jezler, the pattern is called Comtesse, Countess.
Cornelia said, "The water glasses date back to the sixities, they are Swedish (Kosta Boda) and are hand blown and hand cut crystal."
The Champagne glasses are also vintage.
Cornelia believes they were made in the sixties in Germany. They are hand blown and hand cut crystal.
Cornelia said, "The wrapped egg contains Swiss Chocolate. The small plate is also Blue Fluted Half Lace by Royal Copenhagen. The tablecloth is German. It is a traditional blue print table cloth."
Cornelia created a beautiful arrangement of tulips in a hand cut crystal Villeroy and Boch vase from the the 50's.
Another gorgeous vase filled with beautiful tulips. Doesn't this make us wish it was springtime all over again!
The vase is Meissen and the tureen behind the vase is by Nymphenburg/Germany.
Cornelia said, "I had some cheese, different croissants, brioches and special filled doughnuts together with jam and oranges on a side table. The pastry was made by the local baker shop."
I LOVE this photo, so I saved it for last. It feels like it should be a painting. Don't you just love the hint of the chest on the left with the tea set and lit candles, the gorgeous blue chair, the ornaments hanging in the window, the amazing wainscoting. So beautiful!
