    Crisp Sharp Seams

If you ever wanted to take your home sewn projects or simply iron like a professional  then you need this tool

    Clapper

    “The Clapper”

If you don’t own a clapper, you probably hold your iron down {for a really long time} until you have a pressed flat seam.  The bad thing is the iron is pumping huge amounts of heat into the fabric.  Not good.

The clapper is easy to use and takes out all the risk of scorching the  fabric .  That’s a good thing!

Use your iron to pump heat or steam into the fabric.  Quickly, after removing the iron, press down firmly with the “Clapper” over the spot you just ironed or steamed.   The heat is now trapped under the wood.  Remove only after the fabric and/or the wood has cooled.  Ahhhhh yes……. Flat crisp fabric seams!!!!!

Press bulky fabrics, create sharp creases, and make smooth flat seams.

One clapper will last you a lifetime.  I’ve owned mine for 12 years.  There are a few different styles of “Clappers” available.  The one I own is a like a 2~in~1 tool,  the pointed end on the top can be used to iron points and tight corners like that of collars.

    Your Tipster,

    Carrie
